Our Dogs

Lily arrived in April 2024, together with little Zoey. She was much younger than Zoey but they were close and so both came to us. She is about 5 years old, quite cheeky and loves sleeping completely covered by a blanket.

Spikkels came to us in May 2019, via KZN Valley Dogs. She was less than a year old but unwanted. I knew her since she was a small pup. She has some greyhound in the mix and can run like the wind. She’s a daddy’s girl and very protective of her humans.

10 year old Ollie arrived in July 2024. The vet had to extract most of his teeth and he is deaf as well. He is a very happy boy, puttering around the property whenever he feels like it.

Sphelele arrived from Cinderella Animal Rescue in February 2022. She was 7 years old and had had numerous litters of pups. Her spleen had to be removed after she was rescued. She is a quiet, shy girl who just loves to be close to her humans.

Polly arrived in February 2022 from Port Nolloth, via Paw Prints Rescue & Rehoming, with her friend North. They had been living on the streets. They are extremely bonded and do everything together. She has a deformed front leg but it has never slowed her down.

Bella joined Silver Paws in March 2016, before we officially started. Her owners moved and rehomed all their dogs. She is about 11 years old now. She used to bark hysterically at thunder but is much calmer now that her hearing is not so acute anymore. She absolutely loves cuddling up to people.
